Shirley Ann Fischer

About Me

  • Shirley was born 12/02/1941 in Lexington, Nebraska to Paul and Hope Hoffman.

  • Shirley worked for AT&T in Kansas City for 30 years before her retirement in 1988. After her retirement Shirley worked at Hardee’s in Sedalia, MO and McDonalds in Blue Springs, MO serving coffee and made several friendships throughout the years.

  • Shirley attended New Life Assembly of God Church in Oak Grove, MO where she enjoyed attending services with her family and serving at the monthly grocery giveaway as often as she was able to. Shirley enjoyed taking walks with her dog, going to Branson and spending time at the lake. More than anything, she treasured spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always up for an adventure if it meant spending time with them. From road trips or flights for family trips across state lines, to driving local for as many extra-curricular events, pageants, plays, shows, etc. that she could show her love and support at. Shirley also enjoyed making everyone their favorite cakes for their birthdays, even if they were on a trip celebrating. She enjoyed getting on her new tablet and calling her grandchildren and great-children even if it was to make funny faces the whole time.

  • Shirley passed away from natural causes on 5/24/2020. She is survived by her daughter, Tamara Williams and her husband Michael of Blue Springs, MO; brother, Michael Hoffman of Sacramento, CA; grandchildren, Michael Welsh and his wife Dana of Blue Springs, MO, Tara Smith and her husband Brandon of Kissimmee, FL; great-grandchildren, Vivienne, Bennett, and Claire Welsh; Kingston, Kaius, and Calil Smith. She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Hope Hoffman; sister, Deanna Kennel.

  • Shirley will be remembered for her never ending out pouring of love for her family and small acts of kindness she blessed everyone with.
